FINAL CURTAIN CALL

It was an honor and a privilege to plan the retirement celebration for the Fox Theatre’s 30 year reigning Chairman of the Board. Our goal was to produce an elegant but understated evening to remember working with a color palette of yellow and cream. We managed the décor, stage drapery, stage lighting, printing, audio visual, coat check, and photography. Guests arrived to a red carpet entrance with a lighting-enhanced walkway leading them to the Auditorium stage. Guests were entertained by organist Ken Double who gave a dazzling performance on Mighty Mo. The showstopper was the bar configuration formed in a dramatic white round with overflowing florals and 3 hanging chandeliers overhead. Hors D’oeuvres included seasonal passed items which complimented the signature drinks. Once cocktail hour was over, guests transitioned up through the Grand Salon and entered into the Egyptian Ballroom for a fabulous dinner. The custom menu table numbers and creative guest table layout had everyone in awe. While colleagues, friends and family feasted on a dual entrée of beef and halibut, the awards recognition and presentation ensued. In addition to The Proclamation from the Governor, the guest of honor was presented with many special gifts including a personalized photo album commemorating the event, following the evening. His touching remarks included:

What a wonderful celebration you gave my family!!  You exceeded your reputation in executing the “grand sense of occasion” for the guests in all aspects of the evening. The onstage reception certainly gave everyone a whole new appreciation of the Fox, seeing it from the performers’ perspective; the Egyptian ballroom decorations, with gorgeous flowers and table settings were exquisitely presented. You have my sincere appreciation for a lovely and well executed event.
