Food Labels

Did you know that there are more than 40 SYNTHETIC ingredients that our government allows to be present in what becomes labeled “organic“?

 

It goes deeper than this, folks. In today’s world, the massive pile of regulations, codes, nutritional guides and food labeling in general have run amuck. “Natural” means nothing. “Cage-free?” Not really. “Organic” can mean little to nothing.

 

This not-so-accurate labeling practice is experiencing greater and greater awareness, and there is growing anger that the very parties that are supposed to protect us through food labeling allow so many loopholes. Can we say lobbying?!

Pink Slime

Seriously?! What is that stuff?! It’s not what we call food.

 

When ingredient labels are filled with words we’ve never heard of and names of chemicals are too hard to pronounce, it’s time to worry.

 

Used as filler in certain meat products, all we need to know is that pink slime is scary and we DON’T want it in our food. We just say “No!” to these products.
