Coffee Shops That Don’t Recycle

Okay, you’ve transitioned from using polystyrene to recyclable paper cups, great! But are you giving your customers the option to recycle or compost those cups?

If it’s still going to the landfill, your carbon footprint is not that reduced…not by much. You know patrons of coffee shops, largely, are environmentally conscience, so give us a reason to feel good for having patronized your shop!

We love cafes that have multiple bins with “real” samples of what goes in which bin, whether the compost, recycling, or trash bin. Customers leave the establishment with the comfort that their sorting made a difference.

Multi-stream Recycling

As a consumer, what do you do when you find yourself in an establishment or attending an event and they don’t recycle? Share your thoughts on the subject with us in the comments section below, please.

Plastic Wine Corks

Take heart, wine snobs, 70-plus percent of all the wines produced in the world have real cork stoppers.

Plastic and glass is catching up, but which is best for the environment? Surprisingly, cork is.

Without the wine cork industry using the various pockets of “cork oaks” around the world, the biodiversity in these rare forests would surely not survive. Not everyone agrees, but just among us wine snobs, let’s keep the tradition going.
