The current exhibition at the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) is Sustainable Shelter: Dwelling in the Forces of Nature.
In this week’s episode of The Green Files our Special Agents discussed a Green wedding. Our newlyweds will have to live somewhere, right? Why not in a sustainable, Green home, whether that’s a single family dwelling or a Green mid-rise? Sustainable Shelter is a brilliant exhibition that educates and excites with regard to all things sustainability in living spaces.
Also, “the exhibition investigates the ways that human dwellings extract, use, and discard energy, water and other precious natural resources and reveals innovative new design solutions that can help restore the health and viability of Earth’s natural environment.”
Did you know that MODA is housed in the Greenest building in Atlanta, and that that building is regarded as the most sustainable building in the northern hemisphere? The building gained that designation after a refurbishment by Perkins+Will, the resident architecture and design firm.
Located across the street from the High Museum of Art, a visit to MODA is easy when you’re visiting Midtown Atlanta. You can see Sustainable Shelter now through early April 2015.
