We have the great honor of working with some great programs and awesome people in the world of sustainability, many we look to for guidance and best practices.
Do you dine at restaurants? Of course you do!
One of the programs we’d like to share with you is the National Restaurant Association‘s Conserve program. Conserve is a resource for the restaurant business—caterers, too!—to learn about environmental sustainability. It helps those who are sustainability-minded to turn their Green passion into action.
We invite you to follow Conserve on its Social Media channels:
And sign-up for their “Bright Ideas” newsletter here.
One of the people we get to work with on sustainability matters is Jeff Clark, Conserve Program Director. In addition to being an environmental liaison to restaurants around the country, Jeff works closely with Atlanta-based environmental groups and the Georgia Restaurant Association.
Recently, working with the Georgia Restaurant Association, Jeff re-launched in Atlanta the Zero Waste Zones program, of which we’re a longtime member. We were honored to be recognized for a significant Legacy Green milestone at the event where Jeff was MC.
Jeff’s bio notes that he’s a “part-time surfer, full-time foodie and an amateur photographer”, but modesty doesn’t highlight his generous, kind nature or his volunteer work, most recently with Miriam’s Kitchen in Washington, D.C.
Thank you, Jeff, for being an awesome friend in sustainability!
