AFFAIRS to REMEMBER, Atlanta's greenest caterer and one of the largest privately held off-premise luxury event design and catering companies in the United States, today announced company executive Patrick Cuccaro has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately.
A Georgia Restaurant Association 'Distinguished Service' GRACE Award recipient, Patrick Cuccaro's career achievements have built one upon another. As CFO for AFFAIRS to REMEMBER, Cuccaro will draw on decades of experience, expertise and successes, as well as what he calls "a few hard-knock lessons learned," to build a forward-looking strategic approach for the company's infrastructure investments and to position the organization for continuing, fiscally sound growth.
Karen Bremer, CEO of the Georgia Restaurant Association (GRA), says, "I have had the pleasure of working alongside Patrick for many years. Patrick served as Chairman of the Board for the GRA, helping us grow into an effective organization and perpetuating the growth of Georgia's restaurant and foodservice industry. He is a founder of the GRA Golf Tournament which raises funds for the GRA PAC and will be in its 9th year in 2020. He currently serves on our Advisory Board. The GRA team and Board of Directors are grateful for Patrick's outstanding leadership and we wish him the best in his new role."
An industry leader in innovation, Cuccaro will celebrate his 30th anniversary with AFFAIRS to REMEMBER on September 25, 2019, one of the longest tenured employees with the company. Cuccaro said, "Of all the roles I've held over the years, I think Chief Financial Officer may prove the most integral and influential in the continuing long-term growth for AFFAIRS to REMEMBER. We've already implemented new initiatives that have brought us additional business outside our core. Exciting times!"
Under Cuccaro's leadership, AFFAIRS to REMEMBER has remained at the industry's forefront, due primarily to his steadfast focus on client satisfaction and commitment to service excellence. Now, drawing on 10 years of experience as an ad executive at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, being a successful lifetime playwright, and more than 30 years in the hospitality industry, Cuccaro is responsible for stewardship of the company's assets and aligning business and finance strategy in order to grow the business.
"In each of my roles at AFFAIRS to REMEMBER, I've had the honor—and heavy responsibility—to make process improvements and to steward innovations that have added value to the company. Working solely as Chief Financial Officer will give me the opportunity to offer an even more nuanced and game-changing picture of where our focus can be," said Cuccaro.
"I'm most proud of having created our Legacy Green program, garnering the designation of 'Atlanta's Greenest Caterer’. In 2014, Felicia Moore, now-President of Atlanta City Council, presented a Proclamation declaring 'Affairs to Remember Day' in Atlanta to celebrate our having diverted one million pounds of recoverable materials away from landfills. Also, launching and nurturing our Legacy Giving program has been gratifying – having donated more than $3M in services to our community nonprofits since its creation in 2008."
Cuccaro's AFFAIRS to REMEMBER career has also seen his creation of OPCC—the Off-Premises Caterers' Coalition that was designed to bring the industry together for the Olympics in 1996. Cuccaro spearheaded the creation of 'Catering Boot Camp' and brought it to an international stage—a program that taught restaurateurs how use catering as an additional revenue stream, a contribution of his time that he made as Chairman of the Board of the Georgia Restaurant Association.
He considers his most lasting legacy, though, as having had the honor and opportunity to mentor many successful industry professionals, some of whom are today's leaders.
