I’d wager that the number of weddings preceded by date nights at the movies is seemingly infinite! I’ve met a number of married couples whose dating history included an evening seeing a movie at the Fox Theatre. Are you among that fortunate group of people?
Let’s imagine, for a moment, what a Date Night in “Casablanca” would look like…through the lens of a few famous quotes from the 1942 film:
“…Round up the usual suspects.” – Captain Renault
While this particular quote isn’t about friends in the movie, in real life today it could refer to gathering mutual friends for an evening on the town! If you’re celebrating a special occasion–an anniversary of your first date or a birthday–perhaps you’ll want to rent Landmarks Lounge to enjoy some Fox-exclusive nibbles and a private bar.
“Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, she walks into mine.” Rick
You never know where you might meet your future spouse. Might it be when going to the movies at the Fox Theatre? Perhaps. Imagine that being the case…going to see a movie together at the Fox sounds like a great tradition!
“You know what I want to hear. …You played it for her, you can play it for me!” – Rick
One of the favorite pre-movie features of the film festival is hearing Mighty Mo, the Fox’s more than famous pipe organ! DID YOU KNOW: The quote we’ve all heard a million times, “Play it again, Sam.” was not an actual line in the movie.
“…I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.” – Rick
If you’ve never been to the Fox Theatre for a movie, it’s the PERFECT place for a first date…or your 50th date, for that matter. The setting is stunning and you get to sit next to each other, and perhaps hold hands for the first time.
“Kiss me. Kiss me as if it were the last time.” – Ilsa
I can’t imagine how many kisses have been shared at the Fox Theatre, but we hope your next Fox kiss won’t be your last Fox kiss. Come back for another movie, come back for a concert, come back for the ballet, come back for a private event…just come back for one more Fox Theatre kiss.
