Did you know that if you’re hosting a private event in one of the Fox Theatre ballrooms, you may be able to arrange behind-the-scenes guided tours for your guests? You and your guests will learn little known “inside” facts about the Fox and about its architecture and architectural elements.
For example, did you know that the giant canopy that covers the balcony in the main auditorium is not fabric? You’ll find out on the tour what exactly it is. Tour guides are your go-to for debunking some of the Fox Theatre myths that are floating around out there, too, although the facts themselves are often even more exotic than the myths!
Tour availability during a private event depends on what’s going on in the building. It’s a magnificent bonus for guests, especially those who have never been on a tour, architecture enthusiast or not!
There are guided tours available to the public, too! They’re typically available on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and are approximately one hour in duration. These tours usually explore 10 different destinations within the theatre.
That’s not all! There are also special “Movie Night Tours” available during the annual Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival. Check for availability of the special movie tours when purchasing your tickets online or at the box office.
Enjoy your tour…wherever your adventure may lead!
